Asadi: Parliament weakens role of Intelligence Department all over Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The member of the State of Law Coalition, Khalid al-Asadi, stressed that the parliament weakened the role of the Intelligence Department all over Iraq.

He stated to IraqiNews.com “I admit the parliament has a wide role in creating the security confusion in Iraq by neglecting the endorsement of the laws that enhances the role of the security and intelligence departments.”

“The parliament did not endorse the Intelligence Law and the Anti-Terrorism Law,” he mentioned.

“There is a bloc as if tasked to hinder the role of the security forces and the government in pursuing the terrorists,” he concluded.
