Asadi reveals intention to sue Barzani, host him by Federal Parliament

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hussein al-Asadi, of the State of Law Coalition revealed “Intention to sue the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, over violating the constitution and to host him by the Federal Parliament on the background of training Syrian gunmen and sheltering Ba’athists in Kurdistan Region.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Barzani’s statements against the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, are attempts to gain the support of the Kurdish people because he seeks forming the Kurdistani State by developing the relations with the Syrian Kurds and training the Syrian gunmen against the regime of Bashar al-Asad.”

“He attempt to seize more Iraqi areas especially from the disputed areas in Kirkuk, Salah-il-Din and Nineveh provinces to turn himself as Kurdish leader,” he continued.

“Barzani’s visit to Kirkuk and his meeting with Peshmerga is a clear violation for the constitution since these areas are under the command of the General Commander of the Armed Forces,” he assured.

“Maliki deals with the constitutional violations committed by Kurdistan Region in an objective and professional way,” he concluded.

Earlier, President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, visited Peshmerga military forces in Kirkuk province on last Monday.

An informed source told Iraqi News on last Monday “Barzani has arrived in Kirkuk on Monday morning where he visited the sites of the Peshmerga forces in Lelian district of southern the province.”

The recent days witnessed less tension between the Central Government and the Kurdistani Regional Government than the previous escalated tension on the background of forming Dijla Operations Command and its deployment in the disputed areas.
