Badr bloc assures voting on officials’ privileges by one of its MPs only

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Badr political bloc confesses that one of its MPs voted on the officials’ privileges.

The head of the bloc, Qasim al-Araji, stated in a press conference held on Monday “MP, Amal Atea, of Badr bloc is the only one who voted on Article 38 of the Pensions law that grants privileges for the officials.”

“Based on the lists provided by the parliament chairmanship, it is shown that MP, Muna al-Omairi, Karim Alewi and I did not attend the parliament session witnessed the endorsement of the Pensions law and this is to prove that what was mentioned in the media outlets over our approval to Article 38 is incorrect,” he concluded.
