Batiekh: Close PCs elections behind consolidating crisis

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Jamal al-Batiekh, of the White bloc stressed “The main reason, which consolidates the disputes of the current crisis, is the close Provincial Councils elections.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, is based on the personal and the partisan interests of some politicians rather than national interests.”

“White bloc considers Maliki as the best option for the current stage and the others want to dismiss him because he achieved the victory by holding the Arab Summit and the 5+1 meeting in Baghdad and through holding the sessions of the Council of Ministers in Kirkuk and Nineveh provinces,” he mentioned.

“Dismissing Maliki from the PM post is against the national interests because there is no better candidate to replace him,” he concluded.
