Bayati threatens to announce Tuz Khurmatu as independent province

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Turkmen leader within the Iraqi National Alliance threatened to announce Tuz Khurmatu district as an independent province separated from Salah-il-Din province.

He stated to IraqiNews.com “In case the Government does not respond to the district demonstrators’ demands, we will announce the district as an independent province for Turkmen community because the Shiite Turkmen became concerned about their safety.”

Two car bombs detonated in Tuz Khurmatu district killing and injuring 50 persons on last Sunday.
