Urgent – Heads of political blocs hold meeting to discuss Budget law of 2013

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The heads of the political blocs held a joint meeting with the attendance of the representatives of the Federal Government and the Kurdistani Regional Government on Wednesday.

Parliamentary source stated to IraqiNews.com “On the basis of the instructions of the Parliament Chairmanship, the parliament held a meeting at the Constitutional Hall with the participation of heads of blocs of the Iraqi National Alliance, Iraqiya Slate, Kurdistani Alliance and the Deputy Premier, Ruz Nouri Shawees, in addition to the Financial Committee.”

“The meeting was held to discuss the law draft of 2013 Budget to reach a final draft to be presented for a vote in the parliament later,” the source concluded.

Thousands of citizens performed a sit-in in front of Parliament Building in protest against the delay of Budget law endorsement.
