Citizen MP calls to reconsider decision of CoM over canceling Ration Card

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Shatha al-Ubaidi, of the Citizen bloc called the government to reconsider its decision over canceling the Ration Card, calling to “Increase its items due to its importance to the citizens.”

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Thursday, she said “The Ration Card is the support to the poor citizens and helps in keeping the stability of the prices of the food materials.”

She called “The Council of Ministers to reconsider this decision, noting that “The corruption in the Ration Card is resulted by the mechanism of the observatory procedures.”

She also called “To increase the financial support to IQD 50,000 rather than IQD 15,000.”
