Dabbagh calls Maliki to conduct comprehensive investigation over corruption issues in armament deals with Russia

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The spokesperson of the government, Ali al-Dabbagh, called the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, to conduct a comprehensive investigation over the corruption issues in the armament deals with Russia in addition to approve that he is not involved in these issues.

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Saturday, Dabbagh said “I call Maliki to conduct a comprehensive investigation of this issue and reveal the results in order to reveal that I am not involved in these issues because my name was mentioned by the media outlets.”

Some media outlets revealed that Dabbagh is involved in the corruption issue with the deals conducted with Russia that cost four USD billion.

An informed military source stated that Iraq cancelled the armament deals with Russia.

“The deals were cancelled due to corruption issues,” the source concluded.
