Diyala National Alliance: Majmayi, formal Governor of Diyala province

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) Diyala National Alliance confirmed that the session held by the Provincial Council of Diyala in Khanakeen district on last Thursday is illegitimate and unconstitutional.

Reporter of Iraqi News said “The sides of Diyala National Alliance including Citizen bloc, Badr Organization, Dawa Islamic Party and Fadhila Islamic Party in addition to some members of the Iraqiya Slate in Diyala as well as to Diyala PC, Muthana al-Timimi, and the Governor, Amir al-Majmayi, held a press conference at the Governorate building stressing the illegitimacy of the session.”

“The former governor, Amir al-Himyari, is dismissed according to a decree by the Presidency and faces arrest warrant for corruption charges,” he concluded.
