Dori criticizes increasing members of IHEC

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The leader within al-Hal bloc within the Iraqiya Slate criticized “The call for increasing the members of the Independent High Electoral Commission,” noting that “This step represents the end of the democracy and the spread of corruption in the country.”

She stated to IraqiNews.com “Increasing the IHEC members will open the door for corruption in the State institutions and will consolidate the key blocs’ domination on the State.”

“The members of the IHEC must be nominated according to professionalism otherwise the same political figures will remain controlling the political scene in the country,” she mentioned.

“This call is totally rejected because they will result in forming politicized IHEC,” she concluded.
