FM, Australian & Danish Counterparts discuss mutual cooperation

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Foreign Minister, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafary met on 22nd of Sep. 2014, the Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ms Julie Bishop and her accompanying delegation.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received by Iraqi News cited “During the meeting the two sides discussed strengthen bilateral relations between Iraq and Australia and the mechanisms of joint cooperation in all fields to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples.”

“Dr. Al-Jaafary stressed that the Council Security’s meeting witnessed everyone’s attention to the Iraqi file and the danger it facing of (ISIL) gangs, explaining that the supporting position of the countries for Iraq was reflected in their speeches and they focused on the explicit condemnation of (ISIL), and its readiness to support Iraq in confronting the risk of terrorist gangs,” the statement added.

“Mr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafary met earlier his Danish counterpart, Mr. Martin Lidegaard and his accompanying delegation and discussed with him the conduct of relations between Iraq and Denmark and ways to strengthen the prospects of joint cooperation to serve the interests of both countries,” the statement concluded. /End/
