FM receives message from UN Secretary General

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari discussed on Tuesday with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the UN Nikolay Mladenov the role of the United Nations and its specialized agencies in support of Iraq against the ISIS and the forces of evil and extremism.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received by IraqiNews.com News Agency cited “Mladenov delivered a message from UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to Zebari, an answer to the message sent in the twenty-sixth of June, and in which he requested urgent assistance from the international community, and called on all member states to stop all recruitment facilities and financial support networks and media campaigns that support ISIL.
