Foreign Minister meets his Romanian Counterpart

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Jaafari met in New York on Tuesday 24th of Sep. 2014, the Romanian Foreign Minister, Mr. Titus Corlatean.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received by Iraqi News cited “During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between Iraq and Romania and the mechanisms to strengthening it to serve the two friendly countries.”

“Mr. Al-Jaafari stressed that Iraq appearing on the world was recognizable and clear during the Security Council meetings in New York, and earlier in Jeddah and Paris conferences, pointing out that return Iraq to its position and its relations with various countries of the world began, and the next stage will witness the activation of the world Embassies’ work, strengthen relationships, support and assist Iraq in its war against Daash (ISIS), rebuilding, reconstruction and investment,” the statement added.

“The two sides recalled the depth of relations between the two countries and the Romanian leading role to help Iraq since 2003 till now,” the statement concluded. /End/
