Former Oil Minister accuses Turkey of violating Iraqi investment laws in Kurdistan Region

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The former Minister of Oil, Ibraheem Bahr al-Oloum, accused Turkey of violating the Iraqi investment laws in Kurdistan Region.

In a press statement, he assured “Turkey is exploiting the disputes between the Central Government and the Kurdistani Regional Government to escalate the crisis.”

“Turkey should deal with the CG in Baghdad since Iraq is a sovereign state to preserve the security and stability in the two countries,” he added.

He ruled out implementing strategic projects in Kurdistan Region especially these related to oil and gas sectors because the CG did not approve them,” he mentioned.

“Turkey in need of a partner in energy field because it is not oil nor gas producing country,” he concluded.
