Hakim calls demonstrators to form committees to discuss their demands with government

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, called the demonstrators to form committees to discuss their demands with the government.

In a press conference held after attending the Social Pease Conference, he said “We welcome such conference and signing the Honor Document and wish it to be a special and successful point in the political process.”

“Surly, the government conducted some procedures regarding the demonstrators’ demands and there are some points that need to be followed up,” he added.

“The demonstrators must agree upon forming committees that negotiate with the government over their demands,” he concluded.
