Hakim calls officials to bridge gap with citizens

Baghdad ( The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim urged the Iraqi officials to bridge the gap between them and the citizens.

A statement by Hakim’s media office quoted him as saying during a mourning council on occasion of Muharram anniversary “The leadership needs to combine doctrinal and emotional dimensions since the leadership is not just giving orders.”

HE continued saying “Hence, the officials should sensitize the citizens that they look after them, feel their sufferings and listen to their aspirations because the tenderness and gentleness is the characteristic of the successful leader.”
