Hakim for EU delegation: “Iraq open towards others”

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council met a delegation from the European Union on Tuesday.

A statement by the SIIC received by IraqiNews.com cited Tuesday “Hakim confirmed, during his reception at his office in Baghdad on Tuesday a delegation from the European Union, the necessity of developing relations between Iraq and the EU,” noting that “The new Iraq is open on others and seeks developing relations with all countries.”

The members of the delegation assured that their meeting with Hakim was “fruitful,” stressing “The support of the EU for the democratic experience in Iraq.”
