Hakim, Khafaji discuss speeding up process of forming next government
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, stressed the need for a strong government that serves its people.
A statement by the SIIC received by Iraqi News “Hakim visited the Political bureau of Sadr Trend headed by, Karrar al-Khafaji,” noting that “They discuss turning the Iraqi National Alliance into an active institution.”
“Hakim stressed the partnership among the strong sides to form a harmonious team with a clear vision,” the statement added.
“For his part, Khafaji confirmed that his views are identical with Hakim’s over the necessity of upgrading role of INA according to a new bylaw,” the statement concluded.
