Hakim, Nijaifi discuss formation of next Government

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq Ammar al-Hakim, discussed on Tuesday, with the Head of the Union of National Powers, Osama al-Nijaifi, in the latter’s office in Baghdad, the mechanism of forming the government and the political developments.

A statement by the SIIC received by Alforat News Agency cited “The two sides discussed the developments in the political situation in Iraq and the mechanism of the formation of the anticipated government as well as the ways to support the displaced families.”

“Hakim called for political blocs to reduce their demands to come out with a government representative of all components of the Iraqi people and stressed the importance of the adoption of important laws postponed by the previous parliamentary rotation,” the statement added. /End/
