Hakim, Shimmari discuss al-Jaafary personal status law

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, and the Minister of Justice, Hasan al-Shimmari, discussed the al-Jaafary personal status law.

A statement by the SIIC received by IraqiNews.com cited “Hakim received Shimmari at his office in Baghdad on Monday.”

“They discussed the issues related to the performance of the Ministry of Justice in addition to the law of al-Jaafary personal status,” the statement added.

“The Minister listened to the remarks given by al-Hakim assuring that they are valuable,” the statement concluded.
