Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, stressed the necessity of consolidating bilateral relations between Iraq and Sudan.
A statement by the SIIC received by IraqiNews.com cited “Hakim received the Sudanese Ambassador to Iraq, Abdul Munem Ahmed, on Wednesday, where they discussed the brotherly relations between the two countries.”
“For his part, Ahmed expressed his hope for Hakim to play effective role to develop the relations between Iraq and Sudan and to attract Arabic concerns for the cases of the Sudanese people,” the statement concluded.
