Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee, Humam Hamoudi, discussed with an official form the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), the political reforms proposal submitted by the Iraqi National Alliance to settle the political crisis.

A statement by Hamoudi’s office received by IraqiNews.com on Wednesday cited “Hamoudi, while meeting the official of the UNAMI, stated that the reforms proposal is for all the neglected governmental institutions that the Iraqi people are waiting for developing them since 2003.”

“The official was acquainted with the efforts of the parliament to settle the law drafts that would help in achieving the economic development in Iraq,” the statement added.

The statement pointed out “Hamoudi has also discussed the law of the Union Council and the Iraqi Constitutional Experiment that the Arab League wishes to introduce to the recently formed Arab Governments to draft their new constitutions.”

“Regarding the Syrian situation, Hamoudi confirmed that Iraq is adherent to achieve the goals of the Syrian people and to avoid involving them in foreign projects,” the statement concluded.
