Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The legal expert, Tariq Harb, stated that the constitution did not condition to the parliament approval to the resignation of the minister.

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, he said “Article 78 of the constitution stated the approval of the parliament to dismiss the minister, but not regarding the minister’s resignation where the resignation will be active after the approval of the Prime Minister.”

“Dismissing the minister is a procedure related to the Prime Minister, but the resignation is related to the minister where it is done by his/her desire and to apply this procure the approval of the parliament is not obtained by the parliament as what was done in the resignation of the former Electricity Minister,” he concluded.

Earlier, the ministers of the Iraqiya Slate submitted their resignation to the leaders of their political blocs.

The Deputy Premier, Salih al-Mutleg has also submitted his resignation to the leaders of the IS.
