Baghdad ( The legal expert, Tariq Harb, stressed that the convicted Vice President, Tariq al-Hashimi’s getting the Turkish citizenship does not affect the verdicts issued against him

Harb told that “Obtaining any citizenship from any country does not affect the applicability of the verdicts issued against any Iraqi citizen

This princle is adopted in all wolrd countries not only in iraq

It is worth mention that some media outlets have announced that the Turkish Prime Minister granted the fugitive VP Hashimi a Turkish citizenship.

Earlier, the Iraqi Supreme Judicial Court has sentenced Hashimi and his brother-in-law, Ahmed Qahtan, to death by hanging on 4th, November over charges related to preparing a car bomb in south of Baghdad to target visitors heading to Karbala holy shrines coming from Kut city.
