Hindawi calls Nijaifi to present law of criminalizing Baath Party for vote

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Parliamentary Political Prisoners Committee called the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, to present the law of criminalizing Baath Party for a vote to endorse it.

In a press conference held by him at the parliament, he stated “Since assuming the rule in Iraq in 1963, Baath Party established many issues that affected Iraqis and formed the first militia in the Iraqi history called as National Guard that committed the ugliest crimes but unfortunately Nijaifi still holding the law that criminalizes Baath after reading it by the parliament.”

“Baath Party eliminated the leftist, nationalists and the Islamic parties and killed the clergymen, educated and famers as well as workers in addition to the mass graves and the attacking Halabcha city by chemical weapons,” he added.

“Baath Party also led Iraq to two wars with two neighboring countries like Iran and Kuwait that left many victims and it allows the Takfiri and terrorist groups to enter Iraq after the US led invasion in 2003.
