IHEC, Ministry of Education conclude MoU for ensuring cooperation

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Independent High Electoral Commission concluded a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Education over concluding contracts with the employees of the Ministry to ensure the continuous cooperation between the two sides to utilize the schools as Registration or Voting Centers for the IHEC.

A statement by the IHEC received by IraqiNews.com cited “According to the MoU, the coordinators between the Ministry and the IHEC were nominated to organize the contracts with the teachers and other employees in the Ministry to work as voting employees at the day of the elections.”

“The member of the Commissioners Council, Kolshan Kamal, was tasked to do this mission where she visited the Minister of Education, Mohamed Timim, to contact him over the MoU to achieve good results,” the statement concluded.
