IIP rules out replacing Maliki, current government at present time

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Islamic Party ruled out replacing the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, at the current time.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Changing the governments and the democratic systems is possible where many governments were changed in a year,” pointing out “The democratic system in Iraq and changing Maliki’s government is possible too, but it depends on the availability of the majority of the MPs and the people who want that and this issue need to be investigated to achieve this majority.”

“May be the people who wish to change Maliki are more than those who do not, but they feel that it is possible to do it at the current time because they are afraid of changing the stances of others and the one who will replace him.”

“Replacing Maliki is a request from the public and not the public’s request, but there is no real step in this issue,” he concluded.
