Iraq participates in Ministerial meeting of OIC

Baghdad ( Iraq participates in the ministerial meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Djibouti for the period of 15 to 17 November 2012.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received by cited “Foreign Affairs Minister, Hoshyar Zebari, and his accompanying delegation arrived in Djibouti to participate in the activities of the 39th session of OIC which is being held under the slogan of Solidarity for Sustainable Development.”

“The draft agenda of the session includes a number of essential topics that concern the Muslim Nation; particularly Palestine and the Arab – Israeli conflict, the Syrian crisis, different issues concerning the Islamic countries, combating international terrorism, refugees in the Islamic world, the UN reform, countering the Islamophobia phenomenon, the elimination of hatred and insults against Islam, combating defamation of religions, and the status of the Rohingya Muslims in the Republic of Myanmar,” the statement concluded.
