Iraqi Ambassador to Georgia presents credentials

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Ambassador to Georgia, Baker Ahmed al-Jaf, presented his credentials to the Georgian President, Mikhail, Sakashivili.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received by IraqiNews.com cited “Jaf submitted his credentials to the Georgian President on the 24th of June.”

“The Georgian President appreciated the historical relations of the two countries, expressing his admiration for the democratic experiment in Iraq,” the statement added, noting that ” The President stressed the importance of “Developing the economic relations and the investment.”

“The two sides have discussed the possibility of inaugurating Georgian embassy in Baghdad,” the statement concluded.
