Foreign Minister’s office said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “The Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari arrived in Kuwait on an official visit to open the fifth session of the Iraqi-Kuwaiti Joint Supreme Ministerial Committee,” noting that, “The session will continue for two days as part of strengthening bilateral relations, as well as opening up prospects for mutual cooperation to serve both countries.”

The statement added, “Jaafari will meet with the Crown Prince of Kuwait Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, the Prime Minister Jaber Mubarak al-Hamad al-Sabah, the President of the National Assembly Marzouq Ali al-Ghanim, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sabah Khaled al-Hamad Al-Sabah, in addition to Arab ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Kuwait.”

Noteworthy, Iraqi-Kuwaiti relations have witnessed great development, especially after resolving many outstanding issues including lifting the ban on Iraqi Airways.
