Iraqi Kurdistan’?s Premier confers with US State Undersecre?tary

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com:  Northern Iraq Kurdistan Region’s Premier,Barham Saleh, has conferred in Washington with the US State Undersecretary for Political Affairs, William Burns, the recent developments in the Middle East,according to a statement by Kurdistan’s Presidency on Saturday.  “Kurdistan Region’s Premier,Barham Saleh, has conferred in Washington with the US State Undersecretary for Political Affairs, William Burns, the recent developments and the political situation in the Middle East and their recent changes,” the statement, copy of which was received by IraqiNews.com news agency reported.  The statement pointed out that”Saleh had given a general statement about the conditions in Iraq‘sKurdistan Region,” whilst Burns said that “Kurdistan Region is and improved and successful example, compared with other areas of Iraq, due to its development and prosperity, achieved because of the stability and security in the Region.”  The meeting, the statement added, was attended by the US State Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs, Thomas Nice, Iraq‘s Ambassador to Washington, Samir al-Sumeidae and Kurdistan Region’sPlanning Minister, Ali al-Sindy, as well as the Representative of KurdistanRegion’s government in Washington, Qubat Talabani, the statement concluded.
