IS MP: Maliki shows great flexibility towards nominating Security Ministers

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Falah al-Zidan, of the Iraqiya Slate revealed that “The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, showed great flexibility towards the issue of nominating Security Ministers.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The meeting of the IS with Maliki was good,” noting that “The IS official candidates for the security Ministries are Khalid al-Ubaidi and MP Salim Delli, in addition to the possibility of nominating Mustafa al-Hiti as a candidate for assuming the post of the Ministry of Defense.”

“The IS will not submit the names of the candidates officially unless Maliki approves them because he is the side who nominates the candidates for the parliament,” he added.

“Maliki expressed his readiness to settle the issue of the national balance and there are political efforts exerted to solve the disputes between the Federal Government and the Regional Government of Kurdistan,” he mentioned.

“We want to avoid the former experiment where the names of more than 13 candidates to assume security ministries were sent a year ago but they are not approved yet,” he concluded.
