Jaafary, Allawi discuss political updates [06/04/2014]

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Iraqi National Alliance Ibrahim al-Jaafary received in his office in Baghdad the head of the Wataniya Alliance Ayad Allawi and discussed with him the political updates in Iraq.

A statement by Jaafary’s office received by IraqiNews.com quoted Jaafary as saying “The meeting focused on evaluating the elections process and the wide public participation which indicates the great success of the Iraqi people.”

“We also discussed the necessity of preserving the national unity and sovereignty of Iraq through forming a national strong government that meets the requirements of the Religious authority and our people and works to develop the economic and security situations in Iraq,” Jaafary said.

The statement also quoted Allawi as saying after the meeting “We exchanged the points of views with Jaafary over the means of consolidating the democratic attitude in the country and the unity and sovereignty of the Iraqi society.”
