 Jordan’s King extends invitation to Abadi to visit Jordan

(IraqiNews.com) The Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari announced on Monday, that the Jordanian King Abdullah II received a special letter from the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, while the king of Jordan has invited Abadi to visit Jordan in order to activate various sectors between the two countries.

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement followed by IraqiNews.com, “Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari and the Head of the Sunni Endowment Abdul-Latif al-Hamim met King Abdullah II of Jordan in Amman, Jordan, and discussed with him a number of issues of concern to the two countries as well as the victories achieved by the Iraqi armed forces in the war against the ISIS terrorist gangs.”

The statement added, “The minister and the head of the Sunni Endowment gave a special letter from Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to the king,” noting that, “The [letter] included a call to stand by Iraq in its war against ISIS and the latest security developments and victories that Iraqis have achieved in the war against terrorism.”

“King Abdullah II extended an invitation to Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to visit Jordan to activate the various sectors between the two countries, expressing the readiness of the Kingdom of Jordan to help Iraq, especially as it faces multiple challenges in light of the war against ISIS,” the statement continued.
