Jumaili denies calling to face Shiites in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Wihda al-Jumaili, of the Iraqiya Slate denies calling to face the Shiites in Iraq.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), she said “The reports that were mentioned in a statement attributed to me, over calling to face the Shiites in Iraq are groundless, considering it as “A part of the attempts that aim at creating sectarian tensions in Iraq.”

She called “The media outlets to be accurate in reporting the media statements attributed to her.”

Earlier, a statement attributed to Jumaili, stated that she called “The demonstrators in Anbar province to be careful from oppressing the Sunni sect in Iraq and to face the Shiites.”

The statement quoted her, as saying “The Shiite Iraqi government, supported by Iraq, is using all the means to oppress the Sunni sect by arresting the Sunni people and discriminating them in the governmental institutions.”

“Such procedures are Iranian ones and aim at increasing the number of the Shiites in Iraq and then in the region.”
