Kurdish MP: Conducting earlier elections to result in dangerous results

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Burhan Daraji, of the Kurdistani Alliance stated “Conducting earlier elections and dissolution the parliament will result in dangerous results where there are many issues hinder conducting earlier elections such as the non readiness of the Independent High Electoral Commission.”

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he stated “Withdrawing confidence from the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, and dissoluting the parliament are constitutional issues but the current situation of the political process must be taken into consideration,” noting that “The law of the elections needs to be modified where the modification needs a long period of time.”

“There political blocs must review these issues by considering the benefit of the Iraqi people before taking a decision,” he concluded.
