Kurdish premier to be assigned to form new govt.

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The prime minister of Iraq’s Kurdistan region, Barham Saleh, and his deputy will soon be assigned to form a new government, the head of the Kurdistan Bloc said on Saturday. “No date has been set for the upcoming parliamentary sessions, but the premier and his deputy will be assigned this week to form a new government,” Susan Khalah Shihab told Iraqi News. Barham Saleh stepped down as both the head of the Kurdistan Bloc and the deputy prime minister of Iraq to devote all his time to his new position as the prime minister of the semi-autonomous region. The Kurdistan Bloc won 59 seats in the 111-member Parliament during the elections held on July 25. SS (P) 1
