Kurdistan Region to export oil to Turkey regardless of agreements with Central Government – MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Ashti Hawrami, the Minister of Natural Resources in Kurdistan region, said oil export of Kurdistan region pipelines through Turkey, may begin before the end of 2013, whether the Central Government in Baghdad agreed on the payments plan, or not.

Hawrami said in statements in press conference held in Istanbul, reviewed by Alforat News Agency” Kurdistan region oil could begin to flow through Turkey,before the Christmas holiday this year, without having to deal with Baghdad, on the mechanism of revenue collection.  Kurdistan region will go ahead in exporting oil , whether Baghdad agreed on the payments plan or did not agree ,” Hawrami assured, adding, “We have been patient for 10 years now , and we do not ignore Baghdad, but if no one wants to talk to us , so it is okay”, Hawrami concluded.
