Maliki heads meeting of Crisis Commission

Baghdad ( The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, headed a meeting for the Crisis Commission that involves various Ministries in addition to the Red Crescent Association on Friday.

A statement by Maliki’s office received by cited “The meeting tackled the situation in the areas affected by the rains especially in Salah-il-Din province,” noting that “The required procedures to compensate the affected people were taken.”

“The Commission appreciated the efforts of the Iraqi Army as well as the other security forces exerted to help the people in Salah-il-Din and Nineveh provinces where Maliki instructed to keep on the State of Alert till the end of the crisis,” the statement added.

“Maliki thanked the citizens who sheltered the others who were displaced due to the rains and floods,” the statement concluded.
