Maliki, new US FM discuss mutual relations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, received a phone call from the new US Foreign Minister, John Kerry, who became the US FM since last February.

A statement received by Maliki’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “The two sides discussed the political development in Iraq and the bilateral relations.”

“The two sides have also discussed the regional issues in addition to the Syrian crisis and the means of facing terrorism in addition,” the statement added.

“Maliki congratulated Kerry for the new post, wishing the process for the mutual relations between the two countries,” the statement concluded.
