Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Advisor of the Premier for National Reconciliation, Amir al-Khuzai discussed with a delegation of Anbar and Hawija chieftains, the developments of the current crisis in Iraq.

A statement by the Premier Advisor reported “For sake of communicating with all the society’s components and enhancing the principle of the national reconciliation, the Premier Advisor, Khuzai received a tribal delegation from Anbar province and Hawija district of Kirkuk.”

Khuzai stressed during the meeting that “Iraq is experiencing considerable external and internal challenges which aim at igniting sectarianism and aborting the democracy in the country, urging the Iraqi people to consolidate the harmony to foil these schemes.”

He pointed out that “whoever wants to change the government has to resort to the legal ways represented by the elections rather than resorting to violence or intimidation,” noting “Iraq is a democratic country ruled by the ballot boxes not by the guns’ muzzles.”

“For their part, the delegation’s members confirmed their supporting attitude to the government in its efforts to combat the terrorists and assured that Al Qaeda penetrated the protests and controlled their organizers,” according to the statement.
