Maliki to attend Parliament session to discuss his new Cabinet Tuesday afternoon:

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s Prime Minister Designate, Nouri al-Maliki, is scheduled to attend the Parliament’s session on Tuesday afternoon local time, to discuss his new cabinet’s formation, Legislature of al-Fadhila (Vertue) Party, Kamila al-Mousawi, said, expecting that the voting on the cabinet might be postponed for another date. “The Parliament’s session will be held at 02:00 pm local time (11:00 gmt), with the presence of Prime Minister Designate, Nouri al-Maliki, to discuss his new cabinet’s formation,” Mousawi told IraqiNews.com news agency, expecting delay on voting on it, pending an agreement about it. Mousawi said that the reason for the expected delay “is existence of rejection of some cabinet candidates and opposition against some of the personalities Maliki had chosen within his cabinet,” adding that “the Parliament’s discussions would take a long time, pending the agreement on voting towards the cabinet’s candidates.” She did not mention the names of the cabinet ministries or their candidates opposed by some political blocs, saying that “Malilki would present 24 ministries withing his cabinet today (Tuesday), whilst the other cabinet seats would be occupied on ‘agency’ basis, pending final agreement about them.” SKH 34
