Maliki visits Taj Mahal in northern India

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, visited the well famed palace, Taj Mahal, in Agra city of southern New in northern India on Saturday.

An exclusive statement received by IraqiNews.com cited “Maliki visited Taj Mahal on Saturday morning saying it was his childhood dream to see the 17th-century monument which has now been fulfilled.”

“Because of the hot and humid weather, the prime minister could not spend as much time as he had wanted to, but he expressed the wish to come back again when Shamshuddin, the local guide accompanying him, explained in details the history and the intricate designing and inlay work of the mausoleum,” the statement continued.

“Then he headed to Mumbai that is considered as the economic capital of India,” the statement concluded.
