Mashhadani criticizes clergymen who adopt tensed sectarian statements

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The former Speaker, Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, assured that some sides aim at creating chaos within Islam through sectarianism.

Speaking to IraqiNews.com, he criticized “Some clergymen who adopt tensed sectarian statements,” stressing that “Some sides want to ruin Islam from within through Takfiri Fatwas that condemn the other sects away from unity that Islam urges for.”

“Behind the scenes in Iraq or other Arabic countries there is sectarian agitation to create a long term conflict among the Islamic sects,” he added.

He called “All the clergymen of all sects to confront sectarian speech to avoid seditions.”
