MP denies issuing arrest warrant against deputy head CBI for corruption

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, Jawad al-Shihili, denied issuing an arrest warrant against the deputy head of Central Bank of Iraq, Midhir Mohamed Salih, for charges related to the corruption case of the CBI.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The reports over the arrest warrants issued against Salih for being involved in the corruption case are groundless.”

He expressed his wonder for issuing arrest warrants against low-rank employees and ignoring the key official who are involved in this case.

Earlier, the parliament formed a committee, headed by the first Deputy Speaker, Qusay al-Sihail, to investigate the corruption case of the CBI.
