MP urges Iraqi politicians not to politicize issue of arresting Issawi\

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Ahmed al-Irebi of the White Bloc, accused some politicians, without naming them, of trying to turn the current political crisis into sectarian strife in Iraq.

Irebi stated to Iraqi News “The political blocs are requested not to politicize the crisis of arresting the guards of Minister of Finance, Ragfa al-Issawi, since the case is clearly judicial where all have to respect the judicial orders.”

He added that “The Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki has explicitly announced that there is no compromise with murderers who destroyed Iraq and those who provided cover for the murderers who killed the innocents.”

Irebi expected closeness of settling the crisis soon in light of the initiative launched by the Deputy Prime Minister, Salih al-Mutleg to resolve the crisis.

Earlier, a military force raided, on last Thursday, the Protection Officer office of Issawi in the Green Zone in central Baghdad and arrested the director of the office and number of security guards while the ministry was present at his office.
