Mutalibi describes clashes in Tuz Khurmatu as "War announcement against FG"

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Secretary General of the Free Youth Movement and Member of the State of Law Coalition, Saad al-Mutalibi described the clashes took place in Tuz Khurmatu district as “An announcement of war against the Federal Government in Baghdad.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The first part of Barzani’s statement was about calming the situation but the second part involved a clear threats showing readiness to start a war against the Federal Army.”

“Barzani’s statement was critical and identify Barzani’s intention to take parts of the Iraqi lands to join them to Kurdistan Region by using the armed forces,” he added.

He ruled out “The US interference in this case,” noting that “Barzani depends on the disputes among the Arabic sides in Iraq as well as on the head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, who threatened the national unity.”

“Such case will spark the war between the Arabs and the Kurds especially if we consider that Iraqis got annoyed due to statements and actions that violate the national unity,” he concluded.

Earlier, bodyguards of a Kurdish figure and elements of Dijla Operations Command clashed on last Friday in eastern Tikrit city, the capital of Salah-il-Din province and the clashes resulted in killing a civilian and injuring elements of DOC.

The Ministry of Pishmirga within Kurdistan Regional Government denied reports over clashes between its forces with elements of Dijla Operation Command in Tuz Khurmatu district on last Friday morning.

The Ministry quoted its General Undersecretary, Lieutenant General Jabbar Yawer, as saying ”The clashes, which took place on last Friday and resulted in deaths and injuries, were due to a personal problem and it was controlled after that.”

The statement added ”The clashes happened when a person tried to get gasoline form a fuel station and he quarreled with the police elements, then things were escalated quickly and resulted in deaths and injuries.” \
