Mutleg urges youth to reject sectarianism

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Deputy Prime Minister Salih al-Mutleg called the Iraqi youth to reject sectarianism in order to reach a country that comprises all sects and components.

A statement by the Mutleg’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Mutleg participated with groups of young men in a demonstration to raise the longest Iraqi flag with 550 meters.”

The demonstration started from Shuhada mosque in Karkh side of Baghdad towards Mutanabi street and Qishla Square in Rusafa side, the statement added.

Mutleg addressed the young men as saying “We want you to participate actively in the political life and eliminate sectarian figures who fight to get posts in order to reach a country that comprises all sects and communities and citizens can enjoy peace, security, dignity and rights.”
