NAM elects Iraq to be Vice President of its Foreign Ministers Conference

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Permanent delegates to the Group of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in the United Nations Headquarters in New York elected Iraq as Vice President of the Foreign Ministers Conference of NAM due to be held in Algeria for the period 26-29 of May 2014.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received by Iraqi News cited “Permanent Representative of Iraq in New York, Ambassador Mohammed Ali Al Hakeem, thanked the NAM delegates for their high confidence in Iraq and electing it as VP of the conference.”

“Iraq will be represented with a high-level delegation headed by Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari,” the statement concluded.
