Nijaifi, envoy of South Korean President discuss mutual relations

Baghdad ( The parliament Speaker, assured the necessity of developing the bilateral relations between Iraq and South Korea.

A statement by Nijaifi’s office received by on Wednesday cited “Nijaifi received the envoy of the Korean President and the UN Good Will Ambassador, Barka Sanja, with the accompanying delegation comprising the Korean businessmen and the Korean Ambassador to Iraq.”

“The two sides discussed the mutual relations and the means of developing the investment and economic cooperation to achieve the interests of the peoples of the two countries,” the statement added.

“For her part, Sanja conveyed a verbal letter by the Korean President to Nijaifi and the Iraqi people and an invitation from the Korean parliament Speaker to its Iraqi counterpart,” the statement pointed out.

“Nijaifi expressed his appreciation to the Korean government and people, praising his admiration to the development of Korean in the last period of time and wishing to respond to the Korean Speaker at the nearest time,” the statement concluded.
